Classes are held at the Lake Harriet House of Music:

This is a great class for any girl aged 9-14 who would like to try out the guitar in a fun, supportive environment. Complete beginners are welcome, as are girls with some playing experience or others who just need a refresher and would enjoy meeting and playing with other girls. We'll start at the beginning; holding your guitar & pick, tuning, strumming, basic chords and then move onto learning some popular songs! And the end of the session, the class will have the opportunity to perform what they've learned in front of an audience at our She Rock All-Female Jam on Sunday, June 3rd! |
This class is for girls ages 11-16 who have previous experience playing the electric or acoustic guitar. Prior knowledge of open chords and strumming patterns will be helpful for all class participants. In this class, we will be learning about 7th chords, bar chords, riffs and soloing; all while playing a variety of Beatles songs in a band setting with drums and microphones! As the class progresses, we will pick out a few songs to showcase at our She Rock Jam on Sunday, June 3rd @ Jack's Cavern. |
