We're offering two sessions in 2013:
July 15-19 & July 22-26 @ Main Street School of Performing Arts in Hopkins, MN ***Register here!*** ***Camp FAQs*** We are looking forward to seeing you this summer! Our dates for Girls Rock N Roll Retreat (G.R.R.R.) 2013 will be the week of July 15 and also the week of July 22. Our camp will be held at Main Street School of Performing Arts in Hopkins, Minnesota and the Friday night showcase performances will be at O'Garas Bar & Grill in St Paul! What is G.R.R.R? Celebrating our seventh year in 2013, this annual day camp (9am-5pm daily) offers 5 days of music lessons, playing in a band, art classes, exciting workshops and a big Friday night rock concert for girls ages 9-16. Our camp is offered to girls who play or want to learn electric guitar, electric bass, drums, or keyboards. We accept girls of all levels on each instrument, NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, more details here! Because camp is offered for girls only, they find support and friendships with others who have the same desire as they do; to be appreciated, to find and nurture their inner talent through creativity and to have some fun! Camp is five days and is loaded with workshops including songwriting, media/body image, self-defense, stage presence, and of course instrument and band practice. For campers with lots of prior musical experience, we will be offering additional workshops and advanced songwriting classes this year! Our teachers are all qualified, professional musicians in the Twin Cities music scene. At the end of five days, our campers will have: formed a band, written original music, created logos and merchandise for their band, improved their instrumental skills and will perform TWO concerts for friends and family on Friday night! Girls Rock n Roll Retreat is brought to you by She Rock She Rock, a non-profit 501c3 organization and is a proud member of the Girls Rock Camp Alliance, an international coalition of girl's rock camps!
